Collier Kicks off 50th Anniversary Celebrations

Collier Elementary School has proudly served Tucson Unified School District’s east side since 1974, continuing the tradition of its namesake Marguerite
Collier. This has been made possible by the dedicated educators, staff, and families that have walked through the doors each year. On Friday, August 23rd Collier hosted a 50th Year Open House which brought together current and former staff and families, and exemplified Collier’s tradition of community. The event highlighted the feeling of family that Collier has always provided and made space for many happy reunions. May we continue to serve our community for many years to come. Once A Cougar, Always A Cougar! View more photos from the Open House.6th Grade at Collier
Collier is going to have 6th grade here starting the 2024-2025 school year! TUSD has selected our school to become a Pre-K-6th grade school. This is exciting for our kids and families that want to stay in an elementary environment that will better prepare their children for a 7th and 8th grade Middle School experience. We are creating what our 6th grade middle school addition will be and how it will operate. The children will emulate a true middle school experience that will include core classes and electives. The children will switch classes and have changes throughout their day. The district is assisting us with the instruction and operational design for our new 6th grade. We will communicate any new information as it becomes available. If you have any questions, please call us at the office (520) 584-4800.
